Joanna strives to embrace Yoga and Ayurveda in all aspects of her life. She balances her life through with her yoga and mindfulness practices. Her life’s work is sharing her own experience of healing and helping others find their own healing by learning how to create balance in their lives.
She is certified as an Ayurveda Wellness Counselor from both the Kerala Ayurveda Academy and the American Institute of Vedic Studies, and is an active member of NAMA (National Ayurvedic Medical Association), American Herbalists Guild, GreenMed Research (alternative resource to WebMD), Yoga Alliance, and the Society of Cannabis Clinicians. She is also a faculty member for the Holistic Cannabis Academy and an approved Pace Provider for NAMA.
Much of her counseling involves recommendations for yoga; she is a certified Raja yoga teacher (Sundara College of Yoga,) and a past Iyengar Yoga teacher trainer with Yogaspirit. Her teachings incorporate Hatha, Iyengar, Yin and Vinyasa yoga, along with the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda, into a unique teaching style. She is also a level two trained Reiki practitioner and certified Raindrop Essential Oil practitioner who loves rocks, crystals and sound healing.
Joanna lives in the pacific NW where she teaches Yoga Samadhi in White Salmon, WA and offers cannabis and Ayurvedic counseling with her private practice, Canna-Veda; Aside from her family of two fabulous kids, three dogs, one cat, and an incredibly kind and compassionate life partner, her passion is creating powerful herbal remedies with an abundance of healing plants for her own product line, ZV Botanicals.
