ZV Botanicals represents creativity, authenticity and a passion for truly effective healing. Joanna Matson-Tandberg has dedicated her life to unraveling the mysteries of true health, discovering how plants and people have evolved together throughout time, and inspiring true health through the science of Ayurveda.
Joanna teaches at Yoga Samadhi in White Salmon, WA and offers cannabis and Ayurvedic counseling with her private practice, Canna-Veda. Aside from her family of two fabulous kids, three dogs, and an incredibly kind and compassionate life partner, her passion is helping others through her teaching and counseling, and by creating powerful herbal remedies for her own product line, ZV Botanicals.
Joanna strives to embrace Yoga and Ayurveda in all aspects of her life. She found these authentic forms of healing from a debilitating life with Crohn’s and thyroid disease, and has learned to balance her life with these mindfulness practices. Her life’s work is sharing her own experience of healing, and helping others find their own healing, by learning how to create balance in their lives.
She is certified as an Ayurveda Wellness Counselor from both the Kerala Ayurveda Academy and the American Institute of Vedic Studies, and is an active member of NAMA (National Ayurvedic Medical Association), American Herbalists Guild, GreenMed Research (alternative resource to WebMD), Yoga Alliance, and the Society of Cannabis Clinicians. She is also a faculty member for the Holistic Cannabis Academy and an approved Pace Provider for NAMA.
Yoga is considered the sister-science of Ayurveda, and as such, Joanna is a certified Raja yoga teacher (Soul of Yoga), and a former Iyengar Yoga teacher trainer with Yogaspirit. Her teachings incorporate Hatha, Iyengar, Yin and Vinyasa yoga, along with the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda, into a unique teaching style. She is also a level two trained Reiki practitioner and certified Raindrop Essential Oil practitioner who loves incorprating rocks, crystals and sound healing to her tapestry of offerings.
